There’s an inherent desire in us to share the things we love. Whether it’s a bite of a delicious meal, the recap of a great first date, or pictures of a newborn grandchild, love moves us outward and propels us to share. Today’s psalm begins with that energy. David is bursting with gratitude as a string of titles come spewing out of him: “I love you, Lord, my strength, Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, My God, my rock of refuge, my shield, my saving horn, my stronghold!”

That joy, rooted in gratitude, is contagious. And that’s what we’re called to in this Year of Mercy. We’re invited to fall in love in a new way, to be overwhelmed by God’s mercy, and like David, struggle with finding the words to adequately express it. How are you called to share your faith with others during this jubilee year?
