Nancy Tong – The INNdustry With Sister Rose

October 28, 2013 6:23 pm

Filmmaker Nancy Tong went to Maryknoll schools in Hong Kong for thirteen years, completing primary and secondary levels. By her own admission, she never realized the breadth and depth of the mission of the Maryknoll sisters until she started researching the congregation’s archives in Ossining, New York four years ago. Her documentary “Trailblazers in Habits”, which spans 100 years and several continents, is a testament to the Maryknoll sisters as it celebrates the intelligence, tenacity, compassion and generosity of these early feminists.
