Did you ever have a conversation with a construction worker? Learning what it takes to build a solid “house on rock”—able to withstand floods, tremors, and raging fires—is quite a challenge. Then comes the human interaction with electricians and plumbers, roofers, painters, and tech support folks. It’s all quite a balancing act, both technical and human.
This September Saturday, as I look back on the week just ended and the one to come, how am I constructing, reinforcing, repairing the building of my personal, family, and/or spiritual life? What
does my spiritual construction company look like? No doubt the building will proceed more smoothly if Mary and Jesus and my favorite saints are on the payroll.
