The Francis Effect: Three Voices

Pope Francis is one popular pontiff. We here at the IN Network are big fans. But we did get to wondering: has there been a “Francis Effect” for those whose relationship with Rome is more complicated?

We talked with three individuals who haven’t always had an easy time with the Church: Boston College theology professor John McDargh, clergy sex abuse survivor Peter Saunders, and bestselling author and speaker Caroline Myss. All of them agree, though, that the possibilities Pope Francis brings to the table make for an exciting and hopeful time.
