Remember the parable of the mustard seed? Jesus tell us the Kingdom of Heaven is like that; it starts small, but grows so large, the birds come and lodge in its branches. When Jesus first started his ministry, he searched for followers on the sea of Galilee, and found two brothers. They continued their walk. Two more brothers joined, one by one, until there were twelve. A humble beginning, for sure, but the followers grew over the course of Jesus’ ministry. Today, there are 1.2 billion Catholics, of 2.2 billion Christians, around the world!

“Master, why is it that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?” Reading this question nearly two thousand years after it was asked of Jesus is breathtaking. The innocence and deeply human shortsightedness of it is beautiful, because now, in light of the Resurrection, we can see how Jesus has revealed himself to the world, and still does to this very moment in time. Alleluia!

How do you bring Jesus to the world? Today, ask the Holy Spirit to send you the courage and grace to reveal his goodness to others through you.
