“Being mentors, being friends and colleagues, being gentle correctors at times… [to] draw people into living into their better selves.”
Many colleges and universities have live-in faculty and staff. Their presence in the residence halls provides opportunities for mentoring students outside of the classroom.
Jesuits have embraced this tradition from the earliest days, often living in student communities themselves.
In this episode, Georgetown Jesuits-in-Residence, Fr. Matthew Carnes, SJ and Fr. Christopher Steck, SJ speak with IN Network about how they (and others like them) uniquely serve their campus community.
