Recipe: Jesuit Community Margarita

When Eric Sundrup, SJ of The Jesuit Post joined Ruthie for Cinco de Mayo, he mentioned a margarita recipe that some of his Mexican Jesuit brothers make, calling it “the best I’ve ever had.” Here’s that recipe!

RECIPE

Ingredients

1 can of frozen limeade (NOT lemonade, also, do not defrsot it)
Ice
Tequila Reposado (any brand, as long as it is reposado)
Triple Sec
1 orange
1 egg
salt for the glasses (optional)

Directions

Fill blender with ice, up to half full. Add frozen limeade.

Fill the empty limeade can with 3/4 tequila and 1/4 triple sec. Add to blender.

Cut the orange and squeeze the juice and some of the pulp into the blender.

Separate the egg and add the white (JUST THE WHITE).

Blend until all the ice is crushed.

If desired, wet margarita glasses with the orange and then rim with salt.

Repeat process as needed!
